    I am a 6th year PhD student.
I am willing to tutor any course Calc 1 and beyond. I have taught Short Calc, Calc 1-4, Sequences Series and Foundations, and Modern Algebra.
I prefer to meet students in my office in Vincent, a coffee shop or a library
I charge a minimum of $4o per hour — This fee may increase for more advanced courses or tutoring that demands extra preparation from me (i.e. devising Study Guides or other materials).
  3. Barb Short

Over 30 years of teaching and tutoring experience.
Tutoring for most 5000-level and lower Math and Statistics classes (and some 8000-level related courses in other departments).

  6. Ferguson Tutoring:  Tutors at Ferguson Tutoring are qualified to tutor in Math in all levels, including all Pre-Calculus topics; Calculus 1, 2, and Multi-Variable; Linear Algebra, Differential Equations; and Statistics. We also offer tutoring in Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and Spanish.   All of our mathematics tutors have either a mathematics degree or a degree in a hard science and have shown through testing an advanced level of mathematics knowledge.   In addition to a mastery in mathematics, each of our tutors has been required to demonstrate an exceptional ability to communicate and has been trained by Ferguson Tutoring in study skills, empathy, and curriculum planning for individual sessions.   While the majority of our students meet us at Ferguson Tutoring (Hwys 494 and 62; approx 20 min from campus), our tutors have routinely offered sessions on campus when requested.  Rates are $50-$120/hour depending on the tutor’s experience.  Please contact info@fergusontutoring.com for more information and we will get back to you.
  7. Michael Hardy.
Ph.D. with a minor in mathematics and a major in statistics.
I am more interested in students who want to understand the material than in those who regard understanding as only the price of a grade in a course.
I have taught at a number of universities in four states, including four in Minnesota.I have tutored students in beginning, intermediate, and advanced calculus, and
mathematical analysis, and taught those subjects in classrooms. This includes “div, grad, curl, and all that”, differential equations, Fourier series, writing proofs in analysis, etc.
I have tutored students in the prerequisites to calculus, in geometry at various levels, in probability, elementary combinatorics and discrete mathematics — a variety of lower- and upper-division mathematics courses.
I have tutored students in statistics including introductory courses requiring few prerequisites, applied course relying on software to analyze data sets, and theory-of-statistics courses of the kind often taken by upper-division undergraduates or first-year masters students.drmichaelhardy@gmail.com
  8. Ryan Coopergard
I am most comfortable teaching all calculus courses, precalculus, linear algebra and abstract algebra.  I am teaching 3283W this semester, so I am not available to tutor students in that course.  I enjoy teaching students of all skill levels, as long as they are willing to learn and work to improve.

I am a fourth year graduate student with experience teaching all of the courses mentioned above, and I have had training in study strategies.  My rate is $40/hour.
