CLICK HERE FOR THE CURRENT LIST OF PRIVATE TUTORS.
A deficiency of the math department’s private tutors list was that it does not give much information, and I thought of setting up a more informative list on the web. Then in 2018 I was notified that the math department’s private tutors list would be discontinued after the spring semester. On this list tutors may include their name and contact information, and also
- (optional) particular subjects and courses in which you want to tutor students,
- (optional) which kinds of students you want to tutor, for example those who are struggling in a course, those who are taking a course only as an elective, those who need it for a major in economics or engineering or math, those doing last-minute cramming, those who start meeting with a tutor before the course begins, those wanting to learn a subject without formally taking a course, those who hate math, those who love math, etc., etc.
- (optional) your qualifications or credentials,
- (optional) your experience in teaching and tutoring,
- (optional) the hours or places you prefer to meet with students,
- (optional) how much you charge,
-
(optional) probably in some cases other information about you that would help a student choose a tutor.
- I will notify all professors of mathematics and all of the listed tutors of the list’s URL.
Contact me if you wish to be included.
